Objectives:

Algebra II is a college preparatory level course which, in normal sequence, is taken after Geometry and before Algebra II or Pre-Calculus. The course reviews and extends several topics first presented in Algebra I such as linear equations, functions, polynomial and rational expressions. Other topics such as logarithmic functions and conic sections are presented for the first time. It is the aim of this course to prepare the student for further math studies and to encourage the use of the graphing calculator to support and supplement their work. Another objective is to encourage analytical thinking skills to assist in problem solving.
