Course Title: AP Calculus AB
Section: 268-2
Objectives:
The objectives of A. P. Calculus are to present a first year college level course for those students mathematically capable and motivated, to help students obtain advanced placement and college credit in mathematics, and to challenge the mathematically gifted student to a deeper more intimate understanding of higher level mathematics.
Methods:
This course will consist of a combination of student discovery, group activities, teacher lead discovery, teacher lecture, and class participation with the majority of the learning process focused on the students’ involvement and participation.
Assessment Procedures:
Students will be given quizzes on a regular basis. They will have a test every two weeks. Students will also be given credit for positive classroom participation and for completion of homework assignments.

Notes:
This course will overlap with several topics in Physics especially those involving the derivative and the integral in relation to velocity and acceleration.
