The students have been using technology to learn more about Physics concepts and teach each other. Educational research supports the notion that we learn more and retain more by teaching others. The students learn to effectively search the web for information, graphics, backgrounds, animations, video ect. I have taught them how to determine if the site is a valid one. They use this research and Dreamweaver software to create amazing webpages. The students use a Smartboard to present their webpages to their peers teaching them about their concepts. I have been very pleased with the results of this teaching strategy. Using technology that is actually used in the "real world" has motivated the students. They really do become "experts" on their topics and make excellent "teachers". This is the way I envision techonology use in the classroom. The technology does not drive my curriculum. Instead, it enhances the curriculum and highly engages the students. The webpages are amazing!!! Check them out!
