| This course is an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Anatomy & Physiology (A & P) is a subdivision of biology that studies the structure and function of the human body. This course will use the text “Essentials of Human Anatomy & Physiology” and the “A & P Coloring Workbook: A Complete Study Guide” both by Elaine N. Marieb. The information will be presented via lecture using my online typed notes and PowerPoint presentations, videos, guest lecturers, laboratory work, as well as dissection of a cat, a brain, heart, kidney, lung, & eye. I strongly suggest the use of the “Anatomy & Physiology Place" Open-access Website which provides a wide variety of interactive tutorials, including practice quizzes, learnng activities, bone and muscle reviews, case studies, and a histology review. |
