Orff Instruments

Carl Orff is most widely known for his composition Carmina Burana (1937). In 1924 Carl Orff and Dorothy Gunther founded the Guntherschule, a school for dance, gymnastics and music. Here they explored the relationship between music and movement. Carl Orff’s knowledge of world instruments helped him to develop the instruments we use today.
