Our Philosophy

The Shorecrest fourth grade philosophy is to look at each child as an individual and to meet his/her specific needs. The fourth grade team strives to educate the whole child through motivating and stimulating activities in hopes of challenging each student. Our curriculum is integrated and hands-on, preparing children to further their knowledge and love of learning. Fourth grade is an integral year in the student's education, as they will be moving forward to middle division for fifth grade. We stress honesty, respect, and courtesy in accordance with our schoolwide Honor Pledge. As a team we strive to prepare the children for the challenges that they will encounter throughout their lives.
