Lunch

Lunchtime: The children eat lunch from 11:20 to 11:50 daily. Weather permitting, the children eat at picnic tables near the classrooms. Each class is assigned to two tables. They are assisted by the kindergarten faculty on a rotating basis. In poor weather, the children eat in their homerooms. Children are encouraged to "eat a healthy lunch." We hope that they will try some of each of the food items in their lunches. One dessert is allowed after the child has made a good attempt to eat his or her lunch. Please, no pop-top or glass containers, no soda pop or Kool-aid, and no candy.

Home Lunches: Students who bring their lunches from home need to have it either in a lunch box or bag. We are unable to refrigerate or heat lunches for the children. Please pack only the foods and quantities that your child will eat.

School Lunches: Students may purchase lunches through the school catering system by ordering in advance on a monthly basis according to a menu provided. Please be sure that your child likes the food items that are served on the school menus.
