I am reading a book entiteld The Whipping Boy. The main characters in the book are Prince Horace and Jemmy. Prince Horace is very bossy and always thinks he should get whatever he wants. He is very stubborn and he always wants a manservant. Jemmy is a rat catcher who lived on the streets before he was chosen to become a Whipping boy. He loves the outdoors. I think Prince Horace and Jemmy are more alike because somtimes they are both harsh and they runaway together and they both have the same personality. This book shares a custom of royalty having a whipping boy. A whipping boy gets whipped if a prince is bad. The whipping boy gets whipped. I think it is a bad custom because the person that is doing somthing bad and they don't get whipped.

I think Prnce Horace and Jemmy are more different because Jemmy is braver and Prince Horace doesn't really care. Plus, Jemmy is more responsible.

Jemmy is a rat catcher who lived in the streets before he was chosen to be whipping boy.He is able to get out of sticky situations and knows how to read, write and do sums.I think prince Horace and Jemmy are different because Jemmy is from the streets and Prince Horace is from a palace and they both have different cultures. Jemmy gets whipped and Prince Horace just watches. He is suppose to look sad and learn his lessons but never does. This book shares a custom of royalty having a whipping boy. A whipping boy is a person who would get whipped if a prince misbehaved. I think it is not fair to get spanked or whipped if you didn't do anything.
