The Fighting Ground 12:30-10:30

This section was pretty good, but it was too dramatic and overdone. The person I wanted to die in this section was the Corporal because I just don’t like him, and he doesn’t play nice. You learn that war is stupid, and some people can just be plain brutal, and they weren’t Hessians. I have to say this was the worst section in the entire book.

I thought these chapters were interesting and Mysterious. When they found the deserted house I was on the edge of my seat. And how they found the boy and girl in the shed was amazing. I thought these chapters were the climax of the story.

Deltora Quest 1: The Forests of Silence

by Emily Rodda

I highly recommend this series if you like Fantasy books. It takes place in the Land of Deltora, a land of magic and monsters. The main characters are Leif, Barda, and Jasmine. Jasmine keeps two animal friends with her on the journey. They are called Kree, a raven, and Filli, a small furry creature. Their main quest is to recover all the gems of the Belt of Deltora and overthrow the evil Shadow Lord.

This section was exciting to read, but also stupid at the same time. My favorite part was when he battle begun. My least favorite part was when he ran away. What a baby. Now I bet he thinks war isn’t so fun now. I also liked when he got frantic while loading the gun. I’d say the overall rate of this section on a 1-10 scale is 7, so it was pretty good.

Joe Gould's Secret

Joe Gould’s Secret is about a bohemian named Joe Gould. Joe Gould came from a prominent New England family. He went to Harvard as did his father and grandfather etc. Joe Gould didn’t bathe, wasn’t employed, and was a drunk. He hated money. When his mother died, he received a descent sum of 1,000 dollars. He spent all of the money on alcohol. What made Joe Gould famous in the village were two things: Joe Gould was writing the Oral History, which he claimed was 12 times as long as the Bible, at 9,000,000 words, and his attendance to every party even if he wasn’t invited. What would happen to this odd egg? Would he finish the Oral History? Was there even an Oral History? Read this book by Joseph Mitchell to find out.

I thought these chapters were peaceful. I am now happy that Mae and Winnie are safefrom the constable and Mae is not going to be hung.and now that the Tucks are still alive and I think it is cool how they are in the present. these chapters were by far the my favorite. I wish that they made a sequel to the book.

Tuck Everlasting 19-20

I enjoyed this section because it was intriguing, though it was violent. I liked that the man in the yellow suit is shot, and that he dies because he was a rude, greedy man. Sadly, I think the constable’s idea of hanging Mae is foolish because she can never die. She would be just dangling there all day long, and she could never get down. Also, I liked how Winnie stoke up for her self leaving and about how she was “kidnapped”. That’s why I liked this section.
