Most researchers spend their lives traveling around the world.

The best path to take if you want to become a marine biologist is to take every math and science course you can fit into your schedule.. Also it is good to learn to write and speak well if you plan to go places in this profession.  Once in college about you junior or senior you year it is a must that you get a summer job or take a course at a marine lab.

Also now days you need a masters to move on in marine biology and maybe Even a Ph.D which all together could take and additional six years of school. Once out of school the average marine biologist makes anywhere from $35,000 as a researcher or up to as high as $70,000 during a academic year for a professor.
