I am from the New Orleans area, but I have visited the southwest coast of Florida many times. Every time I have visited a beach this year in southwest Florida, the effects of red tide are everywhere. From the smell, to the dead fish on shore, red tide has become a force to be reckoned with along the southwest coast.
