Structure

"Squids and have ten appendages comprised of eight arms and two long tentacles possessing numerous cup-shaped, rimmed suckers. The tentacles are used to capture prey, which is held by the tentacles and their suckers as it is pulled towards the mouth.The head is well developed containing a complex brain and possessing large eyes which, in some species, are remarkably similar to the eyes of vertebrates.The mouth lies at the base of the tentacles and possesses a parrot-like beak of chitinous jaws. A radula is also present and is used like a tongue to pull pieces of food into the mouth."
