Oysters can be found along most coast lines, or in bays,  estuaries, salt water lagoons, and tidal pools. They live in clusters on hard surfaces. Scallops are also found along coasts either attached to surfaces by their byssal threads or mobile in areas with strong currents.They usually live in area with a sandy or muddy bottom.
