Marine Invertebrates
Marine invertebrates are animals without a backbone. They make up over 95% of all animals. Invertebrates have evolved a variety of ways to support their bodies in a water environment. Invertebrates are very important components of the marine ecosystem as well as important to humans (mostly for food and economics).
