Cobia are mostly found inshore or nearshore. During the winter months, Cobia are mostly around the Florida Keys. After this the Cobia migrate from the keys up towards the panhandle.During May and June, the cobia found in Tampa Bay are moving offshore to get to the warmer water. However, their migration patterns often change and still puzzle scientists today.
