-Sea gulls account for 50% of the world's documented aircraft-bird strikes. -Ring-billed gulls "play" by dropping things from the air and then diving down to catch them. -In Salt Lake City, California gulls are celebrated for saving Mormon crops from grasshoppers -The Western Gull may steal milk from a lactating mother seal or sea lion while she sleeps. -Birds are the only animals that have feathers. -Western Gulls will follow seals, sea lions, or dolphins when they are feeding because the fish and squid are forced to the surface by the mammals. They will scoop the food if sitting on the water or will dive from the air. -The Herring Gull holds its' neck in an "S" shape to attract females. -For the Herring Gull to defend it's territory, it bites at and pulls on another's wings. -The Laughing Gull sounds like a human laugh.
