Overview
Greenhouse gases trap heat from the sun into the atmosphere. Greenhouse Gases occur both naturally and from the human impact on earth. When the heat is trapped in the atmosphere it causes the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect helps the earth stay temperate and it is a natural process. The greenhouse gasses absorb the wavelengths that are being released from the earth and redirect them downward. Human impact on earth has increased the number of greenhouse gases making it harder for the infrared energy to escape from our atmosphere. |
