Climate Factors (Temperature)

There are many environmental factors that can link global warming to agricultural productivity, one of which is the general increase in temperature. Global warming could drastically change the climates of certain regions, therefore throwing off all of the agriculture in that region. An increase in temperature can prolong the growing season in regions with climates that have a cool fall and spring; affect crops in places where the heat already affects the length of the growing season; increase the rate at which soil evaporates; and increase the probability of droughts.                                    EPA.gov
