|My Egg Case|
|Real World Examples|
In our physics class we did a lab in which students were asked to create a one-pound “egg case” over the week. Later that week we went out to the bleachers to drop them with the eggs in them. All of the egg cases were about one-pound and they were all dropped from the same height; this was so they would all have the same change in momentum, or impulse. Impulse is the product of force and change in time of impact. Therefore if you increase the change in time of impact you decrease the force and vise versa.
