Have you ever wondered why a bat sometimes breaks when it hits a baseball? It’s because not only does the bat exert a force on the ball, but the ball exerts a force with equal the strength but opposite the direction on the bat. This is described in Newton’s 3rd law. Sir Isaac Newton was an English mathematician and physicist whose findings are the basis of many fields of science today. This website will show you examples of Newton's third law in action and some informaton on both him and his law. |
