Newton's 3rd law of motion: Science Page

Sir Isaac Newton, 1643-1727, was an English scientist, mathematician, and astronomer? He came up with the three laws. Newton´s first law is about Inertia. Newton´s second law is about acceleration.

Newtons third law is that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Newton's 3rd law indetail

Newtons 3rd law is when an object(1) applies a force on another object(2). Object (2) applies an equal and opposite force on object (1). This is the law of action and reaction. The first action that takes place in this law is the action force and the reaction force applies an equal and opposite force to the first force. The action and reaction forces do not have the same acceleration, because their mass is different.

Action force: The snow is pushing up on me

Reaction force: I am pushing down on the snow

Airfoil: The action force is pushing the foil up

The reaction force is puching the flow down

Spinning ball: The action force is pushing the ball up

The reaction force is pushing the ball down

Jet engine: The action force is pushing the engine forward

The reaction force is pushing the engine backward
