Reaction Force: Air pushes forward on plane.

 

Action Force: Bat pushes forward on ball

Ball pushes back on bat.

Action Force: Explosion pushes bullet forward

Reaction Force: Bullet pushes back on explostion ergo pushes back on gun.
Newton's 3rd law describes that "forces alway occur in pairs." To every action force there is an equal and opposite reaction force.
