Music in the Middle Division is part of The Wheel.

During each class we work on developing vocal techniques and improving tonal qualities through various exercise.

Throughout the quarter the students are required to put together a notebook of music terminology and notation. The notebook will also be used to make journal entries discussing musical elements and vocal qualities from musical recordings.

At the end of the quarter, the entire grade class will perform together a Musical Presentation in the Janet Root Theater.

The Sixth Grade Class are currently learning songs from the musical Oliver which will be performed in the Janet Root Theater on May 14, 2008 at 1pm. Parents are invited.

Grades for music are calculated as follows: 70% Participation, 20% Notebook/Journal and 10% Pop Quizzes
