Junior Kindergarten students learn skills and concepts in ways that are

both developmentally and individually appropriate.

Playing games helps teach concepts, cooperation, taking turns, and sportsmanship.

Using playdough is great for fine motor development.

Socio-dramatic play helps children develop interpersonal skills and practice and develop an understanding of life situations.

Tactile experiences help children learn first hand about properties of materials and mass.

Learning is hands-on, experiential, integrated, relevant, and fun.

Building with blocks also teaches cooperation, critical thinking and problem solving.

Hammering helps develop eye-hand coordination.

Using balls, boxes, and paint creates great designs and also demonstrates motion.

Creativity, imagination, and individuality are always encouraged

Healthy bodies equal healthy minds.

Children must have opportunities to run and exercise to develop body awareness, agility, coordination, and strength.

We love to dress up, do crafts, and explore the uses of manipulative materials!

We learn about healthy foods including making our own snacks, and tasting new foods.

Holidays are lots of fun,too!

Junior Kindergarten is a great place to play and learn!
