Dear 4th Grade I am very excited to go to 4th grade. I know that it will be a good year. I know that I will do new things. I really can't wait for the field trip. I will like to to do poster board projects. I like all the 4th grade teachers and you. I heard that 4th grade is very hard. I know 4th grade is harder then 3rd grade. I can't wait to meet you.

Dear Fourth Grade Teacher-Chase
Dear Fourth Grade Teacher, I heard a lot of amazing things about Fourth Grade. I heard all the teachers are great. I am very exited about Fourth Grade. I don't know how much homework we have so I'm a little worried. I went through all the colonial projects. They were all excellent. Are we going to have the same projects that Fourth Grade did this year?

Dear Fourth Grade teacher,
I heard that fourth grade is very fun and exciting. I enjoyed third grade so I think Fourth grade will be fun. I would like to know what things that are different in math from third grade. All I know is that fourth grade learns algebra and it's hard. Ia m a person who likes Bottle Nose Dolphins and Asian Elephants and I like to collect Webkinz stuffed animals. I can't wait until I go to Fourth grade. It's going to be so fun!
P.S Colonial day was today. We saw the panoramas. It was neat.

Third Grade Advice - Chandler
Dear Secand grader,
Third grade is very different from second grade because of lots of things. Some of the things I will share with you. Some of the things you will do in third grade include a Natiive American report on a certain tribe. One of the things I thought was diffcult was the ERB test. A computer grades it. ( If you wan't to know more about the ERB test, ask your teacher). One thing I thought was easy was our "History of Us" book. I personally think it's not the funnest thing you do, but it's easy. The most funnest thing I thought I did was dissecting a squid in sicience class. Some advice I'd give you is that you should learn how to type faster because you will do a lot of typing. I also think handwriting is the key to everything. The better your handwriting is, the better your grades will be. I hope my advice will make third easier for you.
Your fellow third grader, Chandler
Dear Second Graders, Third Grade goes by faster than you think. In third grade you have ERB's, Presidentials, dissection in science, and many other new things. The ERB's were the hardest for me. I thoght the history was hard, too. Our class made a Darfur website and we raised over 6,000 dollars on. We worked on it for about 1/4 of the year. I thought the lattice in math was easy. My favorite subject was math. My favorite activity is recess. My favorite event is the program.

Third Grade Advice- Jonathan
Dear Second Graders,
Third grade is very fun. We get to dissect squids. We get to do recorder karate. Third grade is like second grade but harder. The most difficult thing is Reading Comprehension. The easiest thing is blogs. My favorite subject is math. When you're in 3rd grade you should be ready. Third grade is fun, not hard.
Sincerely, Jonathan
Special Teacher- Jonathan
Mr. T is very special. He is special because he gave us M&M's. He told us about China. And, he knows my personalitiy. He calls me John which is my dad's name. That makes me feel special. If you're in Shorecrest, I hope you get Mr.T.

Mrs. Mulkey is a very sepcial teacher. She is very special because she's funny and explains things in funny ways. I also think she's special because she's patient and good at teaching. Three examples are that she could have said that Sam ate one half of a chocolate cake and Sue ate one half of the same chocolate cake and then she'd say that one half one half one chocolate cake. Another reason I like her is that she only yells if someone is being bad. I like the fact that she cares about the environment. She is so nice that she would get someone in trouble if they were stepping on the grass instead of using the sidewalk. Mrs. Mulkey is a nice teacher.
Mrs. Diaz Leroy is a funny teacher. She is thankful, loving, and has a good sense of humor. One day in music my class was being really good and she was very thankful. She has a very good sense of humor because she can have a cool accent. She always gives people another chance. She is a good teacher.
Earth Day is a day where people pick up trash and save electricity and do a lot of other things that help the Earth. Earth Day is important because it helps the environment. Earth Day was founded by Senator Nelson. He got this idea because people were polluting too much. After the first Earth Day people started polluting again. So Dennis Hayes made the second Earth Day. But, this time it was all around the world. Polluting hurts the environment in a lot of ways. People can recycle. You use stuff. You use it again. You can recycle books, boxes, toys, paper, cardboard, cellphones, and computers. You should buy stuff like cashew nuts, nuts, and organtic food. Today people have festivals, fairs, and carnivals to celebrate Earth Day.
Earth Day is a day that Senator Nelson made up when he saw that people were polluting the Earth. Once he got on his plane he had an idea that if there was a day that people could help the Earth, they would stop littering the Earth. Once he got back to Washington he made a few speeches about Earth Day. People started picking up trash and stopped littering. Once Earth Day got old people started littering and polluting the Earth and didn't care. People can help the Earth by picking up trash and recycling. Recycling is when you reuse things over and over again. Some things you can recycle are paper, glass, plastic and cardboard. When we use things over and over again we save the many trees that are being cut down which eliminates animal's habitats. So if you pick up trash, recycle, and buy things that are all ready recycled, you can make the world a better place.
Earth Day is a celebration for what the Earth does to help us. Senator Nelson came up with Earth Day. The first Earth Day was in 1970 then 20 years later was the second. You can celebrate by going to a nature museum, going on a nature walk, or just having a party. There are good ways to celebrate. You can help by turning off lights or not littering. You can recycle glass, paper, or plastic. You can save energy by walking instead of using a car. If the Earth is ruined, where will we go?
I like playing football, basketball, soccer, and baseball, But I love my video games the most. I have a Gameboy, 3gameboys Sp's, Ds, DS lite, Wii, Gamecube, and a PSP. I have more than 60 games. My favorite game is Shadow the Hedgehog and Madden 07. I also play video games at my friends house. I love my video games.
Hummming birds are as fast as lightning. They can go about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 mph. Their 10 feet long beek sticks into a flower to get the pollen out of the beautiful thing. They bring it back to their 20 feet tall babies. Their nest is as big as the Gator's stadium. They can eat 18 feet long alligators. The adult humming bird is about 30 feet tall. Humming birds are the biggest thing ever.
Laura is a kind, playful, and a good friend. Laura is so nice that if you give her a banana she'll say thank you and eat it even if she doesn't like it. Laura is fun. When we play Native Americans, she guards the Chief's teepee and keeps trespassers away with me. At lunch we talk about our Webkinz house and what it looks like. At P.E when we walk to the track we pretend we are blind, an elephent, or a fire breathing dragon. We run together and talk about Webkinz sometimes, too. When we had to run a mile at P.E, Laura and I pretended that when we got thristy we called water gas and said that if you didn't have gas we could'nt run. Laura is one of my best friends but I like her most of all because she's fun and never tells lies.
