Dear Fourth Grade Teacher-JoAnn

Dear Fourth Grade Teacher,
My name is JoAnn. I enjoy collecting buddhas, ice skating, learning German, Spanish, and Chinese, going to school, reading, writing, math, and especially geography/social studies. I'm not worried about fourth grade because I've heard it's a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a little disappointed that I don't get to do the "Native American Show," but the new show is cool too. The fourth grade Colonial Day activities and displays sound and look awesome! I really cannot wait to go on a field trip! Fourth grade math will be more interesting than third grade math because it will be more challenging. I do enjoy studying American history and geography, but I have no clue where half of American cities are, though I can tell you where any place in Europe is pronto. My favorite thing to do is try foreign foods and learn where foreign countries are located. Trying new things is one thing I do best. I can always find a cool book to read, or try a new kind of math. A thing unknown to me is always a welcome sight!

Your future student,
JoAnn

Dear Fourth Grade Teacher,

Hi my name is Summer. I saw a lot of really cool projects this year, big and small. My favorite one was the diorama of Native Americans. I`m worried about the writing we have to do. What kind of field trips will we have? How many will we have? I know I`ll love it there.

Sincerely,
Summer

Third Grade Advice-Summer

Dear second graders,

Third grade is harder than you think it is. You have to write in cursive on everything except for math. I wrote this letter on a piece of paper and then typed it on the computer. That`s called a blog. That`s one of the many things we do in third grade. We wrote in cursive, did math in one hour, wrote five paragraphs about indians, made our own website, and lots and lots of spelling. One hour in math was difficult because we did multiplication, subtracting, adding and dividing. Spelling was really, really easy. My favorite part about third grade was my teatcher and my friends.

Sinceraly,
Summer

P.S.This is a blog.

Dear Second Graders,
Third grade is the next step on the stairs. Do you remember 1st grade? From 1st grade to second grade was a small step. From second to third grade requires being a GIANT!!!! The step is large. Third grade is preparation for fouth grade, so it requires LOTS of studying. In third grade, we do multiplication and division, writing in cursive, and a mega amout of reading. Third grade isn't that difficult if you study every week and pay attention in class. Tip: remember your homework. If you don't you will miss recess. Some of the easier things in third grade include spelling and language arts. The ERB is a test you will take at the end of the year. The ERB grades will not go in your teachers grade book. Instead, they will be graded against other children's scores in the United States. But don't worry. It's fun. My favorite things to do this year were reading and helping children in Darfur. (Darfur is a place where people are killed because of their race and religion. Darfur is in Sudan, Africa.) My advice is for you to read, read, read!!!

Dear Second Graders,
Third grade is fun. Next year for you in third you will have lots of fun and the year will go much faster. In third grade you will do lots of multiplication. You will also have language arts, writing, spelling, math (and lots of it), and history. In third grade you will take ERB tests. They might be hard for you but they were easy for me. For me the easiest was math, maybe for you too. My favorite thing in third grade is P.E. In P.E. you will do your Presidential Fitness testing. I hope you have a good year in third grade like me.

Sincerly,
Petu

What makes a good teaher? Well it depends on what kind of teacher it is. Mrs. Rowe is an art teacher. Mrs.Rowe has something that means a lot to her ,ART! That's why she's an art teacher. Mrs.Rowe is only mad when she's mad, but when she's friendly, she's really friendly. Mrs.Rowe is funny with art. She's really special to the school.

She has art club, too and I`m in it! Once she took us on a field trip, but in school, to the art show. Mrs.Rowe is really good at showing us directions. Mrs.Rowe is very special.

My father is an OUTSTANDING teacher. He expects only the best from me, is very strict, but has an Awesome sense of humor. There is always a CRAZY fun fact in store for me. My dad has taught me German, language arts, and math. A dad is a very convenient teacher to have because all you need to do is cross a couple rooms in your house and.....poof!!!!!!!!! You're in your class room (family room, dining room, studio) and are ready to learn. Just because my dad is my teacher doesn't mean I don't go to school. School is full of exciting experiences, so I really do enjoy coming to Shorecrest everyday. Learning at home is for me like being tutored. I've had many teachers, and though most were good, my dad is definetely one of the absolute BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr.T is a very special teacher. Mr.T was my teacher last year. He was special because he taught me things that I would learn in third grade. He helped me with my reading skills to make them really good. When I was absent, he would help me with the things I missed. Mr.T helped me on my math and now I am great at math. Mr.T was a very very special teacher
Earth Day is a day to learn how to keep from polluting and to learn how to keep others from polluting too. Why is this important? We are having pollution problems. There are 6.6 billion people living on planet Earth. A population this large uses tons of material and produces tons of garbage. When burned, some items spray deadly gases, like stirofoam. In landfills, sometimes it can take 100's of years for the garbage to brake down.

Factories cause pollution. Dangerous gases and toxic waste such as chemicals leak into or are poured into the eviorment.

Fumes from cars can cause global warming. Global Warming makes the world hotter. This can kill cold weather anomals.

These things are not unfixable. You can even help by remembering not to throw away electronics such as cellphones. Dangerous chemicals can leak into the environment if you do not remember to recycle electronics.

Let's have a happy planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is Earth Day? Earth Day is to supposed to remind people to keep Earth clean. Senator Nelson created Earth Day. Dennis Hayes helped out with the first Earth Day when he was a teenager. Dennis Hayes created the second Earth Day. It took place all over the world and still does today. A few things that you could do is turn off the lights and all the electrical things in the room when you leave it. Another one is to beware what you're buying because sometimes things come in unnecesssary packaging or you could recycle.
Earth Day is a day in which you try to clean up and save the Earth from pollution. Earth Day is celebrated on the 22nd of April. In 1970 the first Earth Day was celebrated. More than 200 people were there. After the first Earth Day people went back to their old ways. Twenty years later in 1990 people tried to organize another Earth Day. Those people wanted it to be global. The United Nations (UN) helped and it was held globally. The people decided to have Earth day every year. Last year I went to the beach, and I picked lots of trash. If you need help while you are doing it, just remember the 3 C's. There is Conserving, Cleaninp up, and Chiming in. For Earth Day you can do lots of fun things. You can walk to the supermarket instead of using a car. You can also ride the bus to school. If your school does not have a bus carpool with a friend or neighbor that goes to that school. Let's keep the world clean.
Life is a living color,
Glittered with small treats.
Life is an opportunity,
Though sometimes it seems quite bleak.
When bleak you must pull up to the summit
Of hope and dreams and trust.
When death knocks on the door,
Live again you must.
Life is dramatic , colorful, sparkly.
In life you must withstand all!
Wind and death and darkness!
To those you cannot fall!!!
What are animals? They are creatures just like us. There are all differant kinds of animals. The main animals are mammals, fish, birds, and insects. Animals live all over the world. Some live in Africa, Asia, Antartica, North Pole, South America, and North America. Animals are coated to match thier habitat. All lizards are scaly because none of them live in cold conditions, and polar bears have thick coats of hair to keep them warm from the cold, and harsh places in the north pole and the south pole. Animals are really cool creatures.

My Favorite Sports - Petu

monday, april 16, 2007 at 12:45:20 PM

My favorite sports are tennis and swimming. I like tennis and swimming because they get me fit. When I play tennis and win a match I feel proud of myself. On the weekends after a match when I get home I jump into the pool and swim like crazy. When I jump into the water I like it when it is cold because I swim a lot more. In tennis there are forehand swings, backhand, serve, volley, slice, and my favorite, the overhead. I like the overhead because I get to smash the ball. When I do sports I feel active. Sports are great!
