Dear Fourth Grade Teacher,
I am a bit apprehensive about fourth grade. I've heard it is pretty hard. What else do you do on colonial day other than models? I am somewhat woried that will be too hard. What is your favorite thing about being a teacher? Do you have a hobby? What is it? I can't wait till colonial day!!! I also hope my friends are in my class. I am sad it will be my last year of reccess. But, I think I will enjoy fourth grade.

Dear 4th grade teacher,
I have heard many rumors that 4th grade is challenging, but it is very fun. I still think that it will be lots of fun in 4th grade. I hope I have a kind, sweet teacher. I don't know what teacher I want yet. I am just hoping for the best.

I have many hobbies; one is I have been on swim team for 4 years, but I am going on to my 5th year. I only do swim team in the summer. I have been swimming for all my life. When I was one year old I did a mother child swim lesson for 2 years. Then I stopped group swimming for 2 years. After that I started swim team, and I have been doing that ever since. I hope I do good in 4th grade.

Dear fourth grade teacher,
I can't wait for fourth grade. Is it a bit harder than third grade or a lot harder than third grade? My favorite subject is math, science, and social studies. I have many hobbies. Chess is one of them. Baseball is another one of them. The last one is a trophy collector. How many field trips do we take in fouth grade? I have heard that fourth grade is not so hard. I can't wait for fourth grade.

Dear Second Grader,

I think you will enjoy third grade. It is somewhat hard, but spelling tests and lattice are easy. I was in Mrs. Drexler's class, so we read while we had snack. But, I think the others classes do, too. You will learn a lot of algorithms. You will also learn cursive which some of you probably know, I presume. In the end it is pretty easy. It goes by very fast, ENJOY.

Dear Second Grader.
Third grade is much harder then 2nd grade. But, it seems very short. You learn some very cool stuff. You get to dissect a squid. It was very stinky in Ms. Oppegard's room when we cut open the squid. No blood came squirting out. All I have to say is don't pop the ink sack or you can't see any thing but ink. It is not fun. The ink sack is very small.

For me, Wordly Wise tests are very easy. Math in third grade is very very hard, but you learn some very cool multpicion tricks. You have about 10 math tests the whole year. But, over all third grade is very fun.

Dear Second Grader,
Third grade has been one of the best years of my life. In the bigginning of the year is my favorite becausey ou get to meet all of your classmates and your teacher. Towards the end of the school year you get to dissect a squid. You also take the ERB testing. I thought it was pretty easy. In third grade you focus on your multiplication and division. Math is my favorite subject. What is yours? Over the summer brake make sure you practice your multiplication.

Mrs. Lippincott is a special teacher because she knows how to create original lessons and is kind to kids. She is also cheerful and helps kids by teaching guidance class.

Ms. Dias Leroy is a special teacher. She is all ways in a good mood. She always loves to teach new notes to us. Ms. Dias Leroy always talks in different tones. Her mind is like a music studio. Ms. Dias Leroy is my favorite teacher because music is my favorite subject. I like Ms. Dias Leroy.

*Mr.Dervaes* is a very special sub because he is kind, caring, and thankful. He is calm even when people don't behave as told. I love when Mrs.Drexler says *Mr.Dervaes* is our sub when she is gone. Mr.Dervaes is almost like a best friend to me. I wish *Mr. Dervaes* was our only sub. I like Mrs Drexler, too. I hope that Mrs. Drexler makes Mr. Dervaes come again.

Have you ever heard of Earth Day? Earth Day was created by Senator Nelson who realized the environmental problems. The first and second Earth Days were organized by Daniel Hayes. The first was in 1970, the second in 1990. Pollution is a real problem. The cars we drive and the factories we depend on pollute the the air. Nuclear power plants are a good way to power things, but they are dangerous. If the nuclear reactor goes, the place is uninhabitable. Some ways to help are known as the 3 c`s: clean up, chime in, and conserve. The first Earth Day eventualy wore off. The second Earth Day was worldwide and the start of an annual Earth Day. What did you do for Earth Day?

Earth Day is a holiday in April. On that day we celebrate how much the Earth gives to us. It is also a day where we think how bad pollution is for the Earth. It is a day where we respect the Earth. In 1970, a man named Senator Nelson had the idea of the first Earth Day. It was not completely successful. After that, people went back to their old ways and forgot about Earth Day. Twenty years later a man named Dennis Hayes made a second Earth Day. It went all around the world. The United Nations started to help him with that. They made it on 4/22. It was a success. On Earth Day people celebrate the Earth.

Earth Day is a special day to celebrate what the Earth has given us. How can we prevent pollution? We can stop pollution by not littering and throwing away garbage in the trash can. When you go to the beach and you see bottles and bags, pick them up and throw them away. If you live close to your grocery store you should walk there and back. When you drive your car you are giving off toxic fumes. If one of your friends lives in your neighborhood and goes to your school, carpool with them. We are trying to stop pollution. If you buy a box of cookies that is wrapped in a box made of plastic, recycle it and do not throw it away! Try to recycle everything you can!

One day we went to a picnic at Picnic park.
I brought Mark to the park.
We just happened to see a shark
then the hunter hit his mark... poor shark.
Then we hit our destination mark,
but not before we saw a lark.
So we sat down and had crunch for lunch at the park.

Flag football is very tough and fun. In the fall, I will play flag football. It is very loud because the refs say," your down or touch down." When I play flag football, I want to be the quarterback for the team. I hope that I will not mess up on my throws. Maybe we can even name our team. I would name it The Green Bay Packers. We would go undefeated and win the tournament.
