One of the most horrible and well known native American wars was the Battle of Little Bighorn. It all started when the Cheyenne sent to make peace with the colonists. Then out of the blue the colonists shot them down like they were a heard of buffalo! Chief Black Ketto explained that there could be no peace. The chief of the Bostonian tribe and one hundred men went over to help the Cheyenne. The chief of the Bostonian tribe was murdered by Charles E. Squires. A mascarade by the colonists killed one hundred five men, ten women, and nine children, So the Cheyenne and the colonists had war. The Cheyenne went crazy during the war. They waved their tomahawks around like crazy and made a series of war whoops. It was not a pretty sight.
