Nanticoke Indians wore unique clothes. The women wore knee length skirts. The men wore breech cloths with leggings. Shirts were not necessary in the Nanticoke tribe. Deerskin was available in the winter. The deerskin was worn like a shirt. The deerskin was to keep the Nanticoke warm in the winter. The knee length skirts and the breech cloths keep their legs and feet warm.
